Full-time Occupational Summary
Lead a small team of engineers and CAD designers (approximately 5 team members) in General/Physical Layout as well as Protection & Control packages of substation design projects. The candidate will be the sealing engineer for most work produced by the team, manage customer relations, and support business development with select clients. This position reports to the Divisional Manager. Requirements
Position requirements include: Supervising and scheduling work of engineers, designers, and CAD operators on the assigned team. Serving as the Customer’s Point of Contact to manage existing projects, customer satisfaction, and future business opportunities. Proficiency in multiple areas of substation engineering such as physical layout design, protection/control design, relay settings programming, field support, substation commissioning, relay testing. Performing and directing project design tasks, including engineering calculations, using computer design software, and referencing engineering procedures and manuals. Preparing complex project documents like specifications and bid documents. Reviewing and marking up full plan sets to ensure clarity and accuracy of the design intent. Supervising and training division Project Engineers I and II. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Effective communication with employees at all levels. Performing other related duties as needed. Minimum Qualifications: B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, eight or more years of applicable experience, and a licensed Professional Engineer.
