Morrison Hershfield’s, now Stantec’s, Integrated Engineering Design (IED) group provides integrated engineering solutions to institutional, industrial, residential, and commercial clients, focusing on transit, telecom, waste management, higher education, and food/beverage facilities that require reliable and cost-effective infrastructure for both new and retrofit solutions. Our engineers, technicians, and support personnel bring diverse backgrounds in design and construction, making us recognized leaders in the field. Your Key Responsibilities
Participate in all phases of commissioning projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordination. Perform engineering design reviews, prepare commissioning test procedures and reports, direct client-site testing, and train on-site staff. Prepare equipment pre-start-up and start-up procedures, develop SOPs and MOPs, and comprehensive commissioning documentation. Develop and maintain commissioning logs, checklists, and tools to track projects. Prepare reports with recommendations for optimizing building operations, including deficiency lists and operation manuals. Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, and equipment submittals. Participate in commissioning activity meetings and interface with contractors, vendors, and testing technicians. Conduct tests and compile results, including system testing for HVAC, pumps, chillers, boilers, etc. Plan, direct, and monitor commissioning services for new and existing buildings. Your Capabilities And Credentials
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with heavy documentation and client interaction. Strong technical writing and systems development skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD. Knowledge of MEP systems and controls is a plus. Ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences. Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 75% of the time. Experience in commissioning planning, testing, troubleshooting, and building performance investigation. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Education And Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience in engineering services, consulting, or design with proven MEP systems experience. Preferred Experience
Data Center / Mission Critical experience, EIT, LEED AP, CXA, AABC, ACG certifications are a plus. This description is not exhaustive and responsibilities may change. Additional Details
