Job Summary The Material Planner will take the lead in assessing, reviewing, and supporting the requirements on assigned assemblies for on time delivery per released and pre-released engineering as captured and displayed by an ERP/MRP system.

This position's internal job code is Material Management Analyst. Our team is currently hiring for a Level 3. Responsibilities Engage in effective communication with engineering, management, program control, IMS schedulers, quality and all relevant parties that contribute to the successful completion of assigned assemblies. Read/interpret/analyze blueprints as well as understand the rudimentary process of how drawings get released and migrated into an ERP/MRP system for the systematic communication of hard requirements Perform systematic assessment and have an understanding of MRP, how and why it functions, understanding the interdependencies of the data that contributes to the successful and effective running of the MRP process Have intimate knowledge regarding material requirements, consumables, spares, attrition, yield, lead times, quality flags and all data sets that are relevant to the successful execution of buy and make action messages within a production platform Analytical in nature with an ability to ask questions that arent readily obvious, ability to acknowledge and ask for reports that currently dont exist and communicate the inherent value in asking for the needed data Manage and dictate the flow of work for assigned assemblies through a systematic ERP/MRP system platform Manage Costpoint MOs and Jira work orders per signals generated via an MRP rich process Partner with the Program Scheduler, Manufacturing Engineers and Manufacturing Teams to attain and maintain ECDs Release action messages in Costpoint for the buying team to turn into POs Contribute to organic organizational growth by cultivating and developing material management best practices Validate engineering bills of material and assist in the conversion of eBOMs into mBOMs for proper systematic forecasting of needed quantities for duration of product life cycle Communicate status of materials, work orders, and purchase orders to stakeholders Resolve supply issues in order to meet demand by working with cross functional teams Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree or 5+ years of experience working in a supply chain, production, or engineering function 4+ experience in material planning, including inventory management, supply chain coordination, and production scheduling to ensure efficient and timely operations. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with PCBAs, Avionics Assemblies and/or Electrical Harnessing Proven success working on cross-functional new product introduction projects, completing tasks on time, and negotiating creative work arounds for last minute road blocks Great intimacy with ERP systems and purchasing/planning functions Technical knowledge in a commodity (e.g. machining, sheet metal fabrication, tube bending and assembly, weldment assembly, soft goods etc.) APICS certification Exceptional written, verbal and presentation communication skills Ability to conduct any and all activities with the highest of integrity, respect and professionalism Knowledge of demand driven process in a engineer-to-order environment Ability to strive and excel in a startup environment that lends itself to creative imagination with very few boundaries Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position.
