Job Summary: Group One Trading is a leading privately held options trading firm seeking a full-time Desktop Engineer who is passionate about user support and troubleshooting. The role involves providing high levels of customer service, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and proactively identifying and resolving technical issues. Responsibilities: Provide support, troubleshooting, and configuring system hardware. Troubleshoot Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems, including Windows 10, 11, Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Active Directory/AAD/Entra, Azure, DHCP, DNS, Exchange Online, and deployment of Windows Updates. Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server & SQL Database Management. Experience working with a VMware vSphere environment. Demonstrated proactive problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Understanding of fundamental networking concepts, including TCP/IP, FTP, and routing. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and crouch beneath desks for equipment installation. Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. Qualifications: Required: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a technical role Proficient in providing support, troubleshooting, and configuring system hardware Expertise in troubleshooting Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems, including Windows 10, 11, Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 Knowledgeable in Microsoft Active Directory/AAD/Entra, Azure, DHCP, DNS, Exchange Online, and deployment of Windows Updates Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server & SQL Database Management Experience working with a VMware vSphere environment Demonstrated proactive problem-solving and critical thinking skills Understanding of fundamental networking concepts, including TCP/IP, FTP, and routing Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and crouch beneath desks for equipment installation Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams Preferred: Experience with scripting/programming languages and tools like Python, C#, or PowerShell Company: Group One is a proprietary trading firm, focused on making markets in US equity options by leveraging superior risk management and software development.
