Sr. Scrum Master
We are seeking an experienced
Sr. Scrum Master
to lead and guide Agile teams in delivering high-quality software and business value. This role is responsible for facilitating Scrum ceremonies, managing dependencies, resolving impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a seasoned servant leader who thrives on enabling collaboration, driving accountability, and ensuring Agile practices are consistently applied across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate and ensure adherence to the
Scrum framework and ceremonies : Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives. Support the Product Owner in maintaining a
healthy product and sprint backlog
that aligns with team priorities and business objectives. Help define and enforce
team working agreements , including
Definition of Ready
and
Definition of Done . Proactively
remove impediments
to ensure delivery flow and foster high-performing, collaborative team dynamics. Drive
Scrum of Scrums
to identify dependencies and resolve cross-team impediments. Establish and monitor
project metrics, templates, and processes
to improve transparency and delivery effectiveness. Partner with stakeholders to
communicate progress, risks, and dependencies
clearly and consistently. Coach teams on Agile principles and practices, continuously striving for higher velocity, improved quality, and smoother deployments. Apply expert-level knowledge of the
software development lifecycle
to guide teams through development and production releases. Understand the
big picture
while managing technical and functional details to resolution.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience
as a Scrum Master with proven success in Agile adoption and practice. Bachelor's degree in
IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Management, Business , or a related field (or equivalent experience). Strong expertise in
Microsoft Azure DevOps . Certified Scrum Master credentials ( CSM, A-CSM, SAFe SM, or CSP ). Experience leading Agile teams across the full
product, software, and testing lifecycle . Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent
verbal and written communication skills
with the ability to interact with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership. Demonstrated ability to lead
Agile meetings
and foster collaboration across distributed teams. Self-motivated, curious, and adaptable with strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of
multiple Agile frameworks , including
SAFe , with direct experience in SAFe environments.
