This position manages various types of Corridor Planning, Concept Development, Project Development, and Environmental (PD&E) Studies. It oversees, interacts, plans, and directs the work of concept development addressing multi-modal transportation needs through a collaborative streamlined process in concert with other internal Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) offices. It identifies, refines, prioritizes, and coordinates the evaluation of these mobility needs relative to capacity, operational, and safety deficiencies, and develops recommendations regarding implementation plans for priority projects, including evaluating preliminary engineering geometry, traffic analysis, right-of-way, utilities, cost estimates, environmental screening, funding strategies, and time frames.

Anticipated Pay:
Your Specific Responsibilities:
Manage various types of Corridor Planning, Concept Development, Project Development, and Environmental (PD&E) Studies.
Oversee, interact, plan, and direct the work of concept development addressing multi-modal transportation needs through a collaborative, streamlined process in concert with other FDOT offices.
Identify, refine, prioritize, and coordinate the evaluation of mobility needs related to capacity, operational, and safety deficiencies.
Develop recommendations for implementation plans, including evaluating engineering geometry, traffic analysis, right-of-way, utilities, cost estimates, environmental screening, funding strategies, and time frames.
Include project tracking to ensure projects advance through the FDOT Work Program and meet objectives and quality standards.
Conduct briefings for management, departments, elected officials, the public, FHWA, and other agencies.
Coordinate with consultants, local governments, and external partners, including public involvement activities.
Manage consultant contracts, agreements, legal claims, environmental issues, and project procurement.
Review and approve invoices, progress reports, and manage contract budgets and performance evaluations.
Collect and analyze data such as traffic counts, crash records, cost estimates, and comments from agencies.
Review technical work of consultants to ensure compliance with AASHTO and NEPA standards, including engineering studies and environmental documents.
The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Adhere to engineering guidelines and regulations.
Write scopes of work, negotiate hours, and evaluate data and reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or equivalent, with four years of continuous employment experience or three years of higher education with at least 72 semester hours or 108 quarter hours.
