Job Title: Scheduler (Construction Industry, Energy Company)
Location:
Atlanta, Georgia (Hybrid: Onsite Mon-Thu, Remote Fri)
Job Type:
Contract (12 months with possible extension)
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Support:
Assist project teams and stakeholders in managing schedules for successful project delivery. Collaboration:
Work directly with general contractors, design-build teams, and trades to coordinate scope, monitor schedule risk, and validate contractor reporting. Planning:
Create detailed schedules (pull-plans) aligned with project milestones, including logic, constraints, and sequencing of critical and near-critical path activities. Milestones:
Define and maintain project milestones, approvals, and long-lead procurement items with stakeholder agreement. Analysis:
Develop schedule reports, track deliverables, analyze performance indicators, and assess actual progress through site inspections. Problem-Solving:
Identify schedule changes, gaps, and trends; propose corrective actions or recovery plans to address delays and negative float. Communication:
Conduct schedule review meetings, present schedule status to stakeholders, and prepare consolidated progress reports for program/senior management. Integration:
Manage schedules across multiple projects to ensure alignment and support interdependencies. Scenario Planning:
Provide what-if schedules and lessons learned to enhance project execution. Qualifications Required:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related field. Experience:
5+ years using Primavera P6 on medium-to-large construction projects, including semiconductor basebuild or large capital projects. Certification:
AACE, PMI, or CMAA certification required. Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Primavera (P6), Smartsheet, Microsoft Office Suite; strong report preparation and schedule integration capabilities. Industry Knowledge:
Understanding of construction sequencing, float management, and large project lifecycle; background in hi-tech manufacturing, electrical systems, or pharmaceuticals preferred. Soft Skills:
Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and decision-making abilities; highly articulate with a clear, problem-solving approach. Collaboration:
Ability to resolve issues by facilitating discussions and gaining alignment among stakeholders.
