Come join our team! DTSC's Payroll and Benefits Unit provides essential services to the employees of DTSC. We have a Personnel Specialist position available and are accepting applications. As a Personnel Specialist you will have the opportunity to:
Process employment history documentation related to appointments, new hires, transfers, reinstatements, merit salary adjustments, alternate range movements, separations, retirements, and miscellaneous changes such as tax withholdings, address changes, anniversary dates, and probationary periods Enter personnel transactions using the SCO employment history database system to process changes to the Personnel Action Request (PAR) form Maintain accurate employment history in accordance with the Personnel Action Manual (PAM) and control agency directives Research various reference manuals, bargaining contracts, laws, rules, and regulations to accurately process transactions Serve as liaison between employees and control agencies to ensure personnel documents are processed accurately and timely

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively Manage time and resources responsibly Ability to learn and apply laws, rules, regulations, and contracts Be professional and courteous Have a willingness to learn, grow and cooperate within a team
