$60,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr A mission-driven organization in the public service and community wellness space is seeking an Accountant to support and evolve its financial operations. This is a hands-on Accountant role with broad exposure across systems, reporting, and reconciliationsideal for someone who enjoys variety and values impact. The position is based in the northern suburbs of the Chicagoland area and offers a balanced, community-centered work environment.

A Few Things You Might Do
Own day-to-day accounting tasks across systems Coordinate reconciliations, deposits, and fund reporting Liaise across teams to ensure accurate records and workflows Support budgeting, audits, and tax filings Maintain general ledger integrity and act as the go-to accountant contact Keep financial processes running smoothly while spotting ways to improve them
Ideal Background
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred 3+ years of relevant accounting experience Strong reconciliation and journal entry skills Proficient in Excel and general ledger systems Experience with QuickBooks, INCODE, or similar platforms a plus Knowledge of fund accounting helpful Organized, detail-focused, and collaborative in nature
