Distribution Planning Engineer

As a planning electrical engineer at Toth & Associates, you will work on all aspects of planning studies for electric utility systems, including: Construction Work Plans, Long Range Plans, System Studies, Solar Studies, Load Forecasting, Environmental Reports, Flicker Studies, and Protection Coordination Studies. A qualified applicant must have good interpersonal skills as the job requires management of as well as meeting and working closely with clients. Minimum requirements include: BSEE from an ABET-accredited engineering program 1+ years of experience as a consulting engineer in electrical utility planning or as a utility system engineer Familiarity with the NESC and RUS standards related to distribution planning Solid knowledge of electric utility concepts, such as power factor, load factor, per unit, and coincident load Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints Proficiency with Milsoft (preferred), CYME, or Synergi Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel EIT certification or ability to obtain EIT within 6 months Ability to write and support documentation for engineering calculations Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills Valued but not required skills and experience include: PE license Experience with Distributed Generation Experience with Aspen OneLiner AutoCAD experience GIS Experience with ESRI, Futura, NISC, or WindMil Map Programming experience Additional details: Seniority level: Entry level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Management and Manufacturing Industries: Utilities This job posting appears to be active, with no indication of expiration.
