Job Description:
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the College of Medicine, University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida, seeks candidates for the position of Chief, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at the rank of Associate Professor/Professor. The position offers options for non-tenure clinical or tenure track faculty. Ideal candidates should have demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing clinical operations in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. The Division Chief will oversee faculty and staff supervision, clinical operations (IVF and non-IVF), educational activities at all levels, and research initiatives (translational and clinical).
The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Florida is the only academic REI practice serving a large geographic region from Central Florida across state lines. It provides comprehensive care including reproductive disorder management, IVF, ultrasound, diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy, fertility preservation, and reproductive surgery. The division has experienced significant growth and offers opportunities for collaboration with UF Health Jacksonville and Pensacola.
The UF Health Reproductive Medicine Clinic, a state-of-the-art ART IVF and clinical facility in Gainesville, supports all division activities. It features over 5,000 sq ft of clinical space, CAP-certified andrology and embryology laboratories, and collaborates with UF Department of Urology for male infertility services.
With over 50 years of leadership in reproductive biology and immunology research, the University of Florida offers protected research time and infrastructure to support scholarly activities. There is a unique opportunity for collaboration with the university’s Artificial Intelligence Initiative.
Teaching responsibilities include training medical students and residents, with participation in formal curricula.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The position encompasses service in patient care, teaching, research, and committee work aligned with professional training and career goals. The Division Chief will oversee the division’s activities across the missions of the College of Medicine. Faculty are expected to supervise students, residents, nurses, and mid-level providers, and participate actively in teaching, mentorship, and departmental activities. Opportunities for research support are available for qualified candidates.
Expected Salary:
Commensurate with experience.
Minimum Requirements:
4-year ACGME-accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency
ACGME-accredited Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship
Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility
Florida Medical License prior to employment
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior leadership experience in a Reproductive Endocrinology Division
