Led and coordinated comprehensive affordable housing transactions from initiation through closing Draft, negotiate, and review a broad array of transactional documents Advise clients on regulatory frameworks, compliance strategies, and funding mechanisms Interface directly with developers, investors, public agencies, and financial institutions Manage deal timelines and oversee junior team members when needed Structure transactions involving Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), including both 4% and 9% credits Facilitate property acquisitions, refinancings, dispositions, and investor exits Offer strategic planning guidance during the early stages of project development Requirements
Minimum of
6 years
of legal practice focused on affordable housing, tax credit finance, or real estate development Deep familiarity with LIHTC-based transactions and public-private development models Experience working with multiple sides of a deal (e.g., developers, lenders, investors) is advantageous Strong transaction management and client-facing experience required Active license to practice law in
Ohio
or ability to obtain admission promptly Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited, nationally recognized law school Certifications
Admission to the
Ohio State Bar
