. Position Overview

The

Senior Mechanical Engineer

reports to the Lead Engineer for Co-Generation and Advanced BOP Mechanical & Chemical Process Engineering. You will perform engineering tasks ensuring standards and industry-specific activities are met. As an individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge, you will complete complex projects, adapt previous approaches to develop solutions, and review the work of lower-level professionals. Work Location

This position is hybrid, requiring 2 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse facility in Rock Hill, SC or Cranberry Woods, PA, in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. No relocation assistance is provided. We welcome candidates authorized to work without sponsorship, as we cannot sponsor visas for this role. Key Responsibilities

Maintain long-term operations of existing power plants, including legacy designs. Design thermal-fluid systems, equipment sizing, procurement, and coordinate integrated engineering efforts. Develop engineering designs, conduct site walkdowns, interpret drawings, manage changes, and support requests. Gather and compile data for design development, technical summaries, and reports. Assist with proposals, labor and material estimates, and design packages. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. 4-10 years of experience. Knowledge of mechanical engineering codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, ANSI, ASHRAE, HEI. Understanding of how other disciplines' drawings impact design, including Electrical, Civil, and Structural. Willingness to pursue EIT/FE certification. Ability to maintain unescorted access to power plants. Willingness to travel. Why Westinghouse?
