The full salary range for the Financial Analyst III is $75,900.00 - $137,300.00 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $106,600.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Under the general supervision of the Post Award Accounting Manager, the Financial Analyst III is responsible for the accounting, reporting, and cash drawdowns on federal Letters of Credit (LOCs) for research, development, and student aid funds. Serving as a core member of the Extramural Funds team, this position requires knowledge in cash management, forecasting techniques, advanced data analysis skills, and the interpretation and application of complex policies and guidelines. This position reviews contract and grant agency terms and conditions to ensure adherence to UC Office of the President (UCOP) and UC Riverside audit requirements, as well as coding requirements on incoming federal awards. In the absence of the Extramural Funds Manager, the Financial Analyst III serves as the lead accountant, providing operational oversight and technical guidance to the team. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. Position Information

Minimum Requirements

Thorough knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems. Has ability to independently gather required information, organize, and perform financial analysis assignments. Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally. Proven ability to use spreadsheet and database software for complex financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports. Proven interpersonal skills with peers throughout the organization; service orientation; critical thinking; attention to detail; ability to multi-task in a high volume environment, organizational skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Ability to function as a member of a team. Working knowledge of contract & grant management (i.e, federal, state, local, and private).

Preferred Qualifications

Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources. Thorough knowledge of accounting policies, practices and systems. Working knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200, UC Policy, GAAP Working knowledge of UCR financial systems and data (e.g. Oracle Financials)
