Current and Active Top Secret Clearance This position is part of a System Administrator team providing Tier 1 (Help Desk), Tier 2 (escalation), and Tier 3 (subject matter expert) support for a large 24x7 production environment. Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux workstations and servers to support development and operational requirements. Perform installations and upgrades to UNIX operating systems, maintaining them according to policies and procedures. Ensure data integrity of Linux workstations and servers through auditing, evaluation, and management of software solutions. Monitor system backups, database archives, and write scripts for automated system metrics collection; handle help desk responsibilities and provide quick solutions to operational issues. Plan hardware and software upgrades to meet project milestones, coordinating with other teams on system upgrades and new capabilities integration. Support system transition procedures, integration, and future deliveries; handle system anomalies and off-hour testing, including after-hours pager response. Meet Government Information Assurance Workforce Enhancement Program requirements, including Security+ certification at minimum. Subject to a security investigation; must meet eligibility for access to classified information, including TS/SCI w/Poly clearance prior to employment. Must have expertise in AIX 7.x, RHEL 7.x, IBM DS5000, HP 3PAR SAN architectures, and related hardware and software support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage Perl, Korn Shell, Bash scripting, PKI, LDAP/DNS, and web servers. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Understanding of Amazon Web Services and cloud computing, including resource setup, hardening, patching, and maintenance. Experience with packet analysis tools like snoop, tcpdump, Wireshark. Location at Aurora, CO, with support to other facilities as needed. Experience/Skills: Leading/support experience with IBM and RedHat (RHEL) systems, troubleshooting complex OS problems, including high availability and clustering. SAN expertise, RAID evaluation, backup, and archiving experience using Tivoli Storage Manager and SBAdmin. Server configuration and maintenance expertise for RedHat Linux and AIX, including clustering and load balancing. Experience creating and maintaining kick start images and post-install processing.
