Job Title: Delivery Driver

Pay: Hourly, non-exempt DOE

Reports to: Shipping Manager

This is a full-time position. Day shift.

General Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Delivery Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery and pickup of goods to and from customer locations, vendors, and other facilities. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, excellent time management skills, and a strong customer service mindset.

Essential Functions

• Safely operate vehicle, making routine deliveries to location on-time, efficiently and in a friendly manner
• Checking product when loading and unloading
• Prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle
• Primary interface with the customer at point of delivery
• Complete logs and reports
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Prepare Shipments, band/wrap pallets for delivery
• Assist in Shipping functions as needed

Job Skill Requirements

• The ideal candidate for our Delivery Driver role is, motivated, possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent internal and external customer service.
• Proven working experience as a delivery driver
• Ability to operate forklifts
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative and drive.
• Able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities in a challenging, fast-paced environment
• Valid professional driver’s license
• Clean driving record, background check - no accidents or serious traffic violations
  
  

Minimum Experience Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year delivery experience preferred
  
  

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
