Admissions Administrative Assistant/Admissions Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Admissions
Nichols College seeks a Front Desk Administrative Assistant for Admissions to be an integral part of the admissions staff, working to enhance the overall operation of the Admissions Office and prospective student visit experience.
Provides overall administrative support for the office of admission, including responding to general questions from applicants and enrolled students through email, calls, and/or texts. Reception of the Welcome Center; greeting and directing visitors, answering the main admissions phone line, and supporting the overall prospective student visit experience. Monitor the budget for the Enrollment area including check request management. Maintain knowledge of the college's tools, systems, and events. Support the day-to-day administration of the Slate CRM platform for undergraduate admissions including but not limited to:
Building events/forms. Counselor territory assignments troubleshooting. Troubleshooting and monitoring duplicate applications, inquires, and records. Applicant portal support. Applicant portal letter release.
Coordinate the orders of undergraduate admissions office supplies. Ensure correct processing of all submitted applications and materials. Oversee final high school transcript collection for the incoming class. Assist with student ambassador admission needs. Oversee all aspects of incoming and outgoing mail processing (including decision packet mailings). Performs other duties as needed. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma Great interpersonal and customer service skills Willingness to undertake new projects, and be a team player Superior communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to interact with a diverse population ranging from students across all of our programs Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects Demonstrated familiarity with and ability to learn the use of new administrative systems, especially in a higher education environment Preferred Qualifications:
2 or more years of work experience in higher education Experience with Slate Technolutions, Ellucian Colleague, and/or Common Application Physical Job Components
Frequent communications, verbal and written Using math/calculations Frequent standing and/or sitting Visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess Ability to use computer Ability to communicate in writing and orally Ability to proofread documents and check for accuracy
