Provide direct oversight of Lambuth Family Center’s weekday staff; supervise program staff, volunteers, and households during program operation, including training, safety, policies and procedures, and scheduling. Lead and manage teams: hire, train, cross-train and develop program staff for non-congregate shelter; manage HR issues including hiring, staff discipline and conflict resolution. Train staff in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention; ensure onboarding trainings are completed; coordinate staffing and productive workflows; conduct regular staff meetings. Oversee staff schedules and maintain appropriate staffing levels with low overtime; ensure compliance with mission training and applicable policies. Maintain safe, stable, supportive environments to support households in recovery, health, and housing stabilization; align program and case management functions to empower households to end homelessness. Develop shelter programming with the Family Housing Director using best practices in trauma-informed care and client-centered approaches; accommodate various shifts including morning, evening, overnight, or weekend as needed. Optimize case management processes to provide an effective end-to-end path for households to obtain housing; maximize shelter occupancy through effective scheduling and vacancy recognition. Develop, monitor, evaluate, and enforce policies, procedures, and rules; mediate and resolve household complaints; address health and safety hazards and coordinate maintenance with the Office & Building Manager. Ensure compliance standards are met by staff and facilities related to emergency response and safety; conduct facility tours for donors and volunteers; coordinate events and activities; support volunteers. Provide Program Output, Outcome, and Budget Reporting; ensure high data quality in HMIS and other reporting formats; provide reporting to track success and identify gaps for improvements; implement changes at program level. Monitor budgets and ensure resources are used effectively; complete timely monthly and annual reports for the Family Housing Director. Manage Supportive Services Programming and collaborate with shelter and supportive services teams to provide a seamless continuum of care; coordinate with community resources and partners. Identify barriers, streamline processes, and support staff in resolving household issues; foster coordinated access to community services; participate in community meetings as a Salvation Army representative when assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher required At least 2 years of experience with vulnerable populations (education or work experience) Customer service skills with effective communication and people skills Experience supervising staff and working with unhoused populations, individuals with substance use/abuse challenges, and culturally diverse populations Current certification in first aid/CPR or obtain within six months of hire Crisis intervention and non-violent mediation skills; respect for coworkers and clients Experience with trauma-informed care and crisis management techniques preferred Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License Physical Requirements
Ability to maneuver; remain in a stationary position; grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead Operate telephone; lift up to 25 pounds; access and produce information from a computer; understand written information Must be able to perform essential duties with or without accommodation Seniority level
