As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will architect, automate, and optimize cloud-based infrastructure and containerized application platforms in AWS. You will lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps toolchains to enable reliable software delivery and operational excellence. The role requires deep expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, AWS ECS) and adoption of Kubernetes (EKS). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance automation, drive innovation, and ensure security and compliance in cloud environments. Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation, and management of AWS-based containerized platforms focusing on Docker and AWS ECS, with interest in Kubernetes (EKS) adoption. Architect and automate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible for scalable, repeatable, secure cloud environments. Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/CloudBees CI for automated builds, tests, and deployments. Drive GitOps practices with GitHub Enterprise and related workflows to manage declarative infrastructure. Maintain and optimize the DevOps toolchain (GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins/CloudBees CI, Artifactory, Vault) for high availability and security. Automate to improve infrastructure efficiency, reduce operational overhead, and optimize cloud costs. Collaborate with software engineers, security teams, and cloud architects to integrate DevOps best practices and cloud-native solutions, including container security. Implement security best practices in containerized apps, including IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and HashiCorp Vault. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to foster a DevOps culture of automation and continuous learning. Monitor and optimize containerized environments using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry for observability. Stay current with industry trends and adopt emerging DevOps and cloud-native technologies to improve efficiency. Qualifications
7+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE with strong AWS and container experience. Expertise in Docker and AWS ECS, with understanding of orchestration, networking, and security. Experience with AWS Fargate and interest in advancing Kubernetes (EKS) knowledge. Deep expertise in CI/CD automation (Jenkins/CloudBees CI) and enterprise DevOps pipelines. Strong GitOps knowledge with GitHub Enterprise. IaC experience with Terraform and Ansible for provisioning and configuration management. Proficiency in Linux administration, performance tuning, and security best practices. Experience with DevOps security tools including HashiCorp Vault and IAM. Experience with monitoring/observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry. Solid networking knowledge (VPC design, security groups, IAM, load balancing). Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud deployments to ensure high availability. Preferred: multi-cloud experience (AWS + Azure), EKS workflows, GitOps with ArgoCD/Flux, and microservices networking (AWS App Mesh, Istio, Linkerd), and serverless (Lambda). Compensation
The anticipated salary range is $130,000 to $155,000 at start. Final compensation depends on location, skills, and experience. Eligible for a discretionary bonus per incentive plan. Benefits are part of total compensation. Work Location
