Omni Viking Lakes Hotel is seeking a Barista. This position is responsible for day-to-day Coffee Market operations and providing extraordinary customer service to guests, members, and associates.

Salary for this position starts at: $16.00/hour. Omni Viking Lakes Hotel reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race. Responsibilities
Responsible for either the opening or closing of the outlet as assigned. Ensure that outlets are open on time.
Produce quality beverages for customers such as lattes, cappuccinos, and other espresso-based drinks, blended drinks, and coffee.
Responsible for maintaining assigned bank each shift.
Supports new Omni Safe and Clean protocols throughout the spa to support Omni's Covid-19 related sanitation protocols.
Alert F&B Manager of any inventory shortages or ordering needs.
Follow up on daily projects to ensure follow through.
Assist with physical inventory when needed.
Responsible for maintaining a clean work area.
Responsible for maintaining general knowledge of the hotel, including locations of dining outlets, pool, and spa to assist guests and members.
Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
Previous customer service experience is strongly preferred.
Scheduling flexibility, including willingness to work weekends and holidays.
General knowledge of cash handling and Point of Sale systems is preferred.
Must have and maintain current Texas Food Handlers certification.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and move moderate weights.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Working Environment:
Indoor resort building in coffee market and retail locations.
Occasional outdoor tasks and travel around property when needed.
