Position Summary Senior Accountant
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing logistics company. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in general accounting principles, financial reporting, and process improvements. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial information, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial decision-making in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities For Senior Accountant
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports in accordance with GAAP Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for cost optimization Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including AP/AR, inventory, and fixed assets Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Prepare audit schedules and support external audits and internal controls Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support logistics operations with accurate financial data Maintain compliance with tax regulations, including sales/use tax and corporate filings Support system and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within logistics, transportation, or supply chain industries Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ERP implementations or process automation tools Prior experience in cost accounting, freight billing, or inventory management in a logistics or warehousing setting
