About The Role
The Senior Accountant is a full-time position reporting to the Director, MPC Accounting. The Senior Accountant will play an important role in creating vouchers in JD Edwards, maintaining the MUD system for MUD reimbursables, assisting in month-end closing, and assisting in quarterly reviews and year end audits. The Senior Accountant will provide support to the MPC accounting team.
What You Will Do
Review and analyze invoices prior to payment to ensure proper accounting and job cost coding. Verify and/or obtain approval signatures for invoices. Maintain compliance with approval authority limits per corporate directives. Create vouchers in Coupa for pay applications. Maintain MUD system for MUD reimbursements. Compile monthly accruals to be entered into the general ledger accounts. Assist with quarterly reviews and year end audits. Create, update, and publish ad-hoc reports on contract activity as requested by project management personnel. Assist in the coordination of all required documentation for MUD/WCID reimbursement requests. Exhibit an enhanced understanding of the development process with minimal supervision to determine related contracting and accounting requirements. Monitor department’s processing procedures and internal audit guidelines to make certain that they are adhered to and followed. Assist in fulfilling the requirements of internal and external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. Provide support to MPC accounting team. Perform other duties necessary to assist with budget preparation, updates, reporting, and reconciliations.

Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting. 4+ years’ experience in general accounting. CPA a plus. Excellent technical accounting skills; strong knowledge and experience with GAAP; effective listening and communication skills; strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and complete assignments under time constraints. Working knowledge of Coupa a plus. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with the ability to create Excel spreadsheets. Interact effectively as part of a team. Good problem solver/creative thinker. “Can-do” attitude, pro-active and resourceful. Special projects and other duties as needed. HHH follows a hybrid work schedule and physical presence is required onsite.
