Volt has partnered with a leading manufacturer in Chatsworth, CA to find an experienced Inspector II to join their quality team. This is a great opportunity to work with a company known for precision, innovation, and excellence in manufacturing. Position Summary: The Inspector II will perform visual inspections, surface plate layouts, and verify outside processes, in-process inspections, and final inspections of manufactured, purchased, and assembled items. This includes packaging, packing, and marking of units before shipment in accordance with drawings, planning, purchase orders, and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and thread gauges Conduct surface plate layouts and verify outside processes Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, planning documents, and customer specifications Complete inspection documentation, including AS9102 First Article reports, test records, and rejection reports Input quality data into ERP systems Interpret technical drawings, contracts, and industry standards Apply trigonometry and GD&T principles Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products Communicate inspection results across departments Support continuous improvement initiatives Participate in training and cross-training programs Follow all safety and environmental policies Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent 3–5 years of experience in inspection or quality control Strong knowledge of quality control techniques and principles Proficiency with measuring instruments and test equipment Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Experience with CMM is a plus (opportunity to advance to Level III) Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Experience mentoring or training junior inspectors is a plus Pay: $21–$24/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (Overtime mandatory as needed) *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
