Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance, loss prevention, and emergency response.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activities.
- Utilise CCTV systems to oversee premises and ensure all security measures are adhered to.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify potential security risks or hazards.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid as necessary.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
- Assist with loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property.
Requirements
- Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during shifts.
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques and equipment, including CCTV operation.
- Certification in first aid is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
- A valid security licence may be required depending on local regulations.
