The Job At-A-Glance: Q2 is seeking a Data Migration Engineer to join our data migration team. The team is responsible for converting clients' online banking data from legacy systems onto the Q2 platform, including handling data involved in mergers and acquisitions. The candidate will leverage proprietary Python/SQL frameworks to perform these activities, following the Q2 Data Migration Process to analyze data sets, collaborate with clients, and develop Python/SQL code to ensure successful data conversion. Responsibilities: Develop and operate Python-based tools to convert online banking data from flat files to relational databases based on specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve complex client data migration issues. Document and track production environment modifications thoroughly. Collaborate with team members to deliver solutions in live production systems. Establish relationships with partner teams such as Implementation, Data Center Operations, QA, and Development. Follow internal change control processes for production modifications. Ensure compliance with security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelors degree and 5+ years of related experience. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Previous data migration experience. Keen attention to detail with a big-picture perspective. Availability for occasional weekends or late/early hours. Experience with enterprise/mid-sized software delivery preferred. Understanding of remote tools and networking. Ability to handle ambiguity, tight timelines, and multiple priorities. Strong troubleshooting skills and customer focus. Knowledge of banking practices is a plus. This role requires fluent written and spoken English.
