Overview

Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer to act as a subject matter expert and thought leader in maximizing the Microsoft ecosystem for collaboration, productivity, and security. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure Microsoft 365 environments across the enterprise. Success in this position requires both deep technical expertise and strong leadership skills, ensuring secure, high-performing solutions that drive business outcomes. Base pay

Solution Design & Implementation (30%)

Design and deploy Microsoft 365 solutions (Office 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive). Architect and implement Zero Trust security models aligned with best practices. Build automation and workflows using Power Automate and the Microsoft Power Platform. Migration & Optimization (25%)

Lead migrations from on-premises or third-party platforms to Microsoft 365 with minimal disruption. Conduct assessments and readiness workshops to address challenges. Optimize environments for performance, scalability, and adoption post-migration. Security & Compliance (25%)

Manage Microsoft 365 security solutions, including Microsoft Defender, Azure AD Conditional Access, and Information Protection. Ensure compliance with regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA). Monitor and respond to incidents using Microsoft Sentinel. Leadership & Training (20%)

Serve as technical lead during deployments, escalations, and cross-functional initiatives. Mentor junior team members and provide training to business stakeholders. Develop governance policies and best practices for Microsoft 365. Stay current with Microsoft 365 updates and emerging technologies. Qualifications

Required: 5+ years of IT experience focused on Microsoft 365 solutions and cloud services. Expertise in SharePoint Online architecture (site collections, hubs, permissions). Proven experience leading Microsoft 365 migrations in hybrid or large-scale environments. Proficiency with Power Automate for business process automation. Strong knowledge of Zero Trust security principles (Conditional Access, MFA, Identity Protection). Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender tools. Preferred: Microsoft certifications (Enterprise Administrator Expert, Security/Compliance/Identity Fundamentals, etc.). Advanced PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 administration. Familiarity with Azure AD, Microsoft Dynamics, or other enterprise tools. Strong communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical audiences. Job function
