Logistics Specialist/Driver
The logistics specialist manages receiving, order picking, and shipment of products to both internal and external customers. This role requires forklift operation, the use of power hand tools, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Attention to detail and proficiency in using computers and standard warehouse software are essential. Responsibilities: Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other light hand power equipment. Report required maintenance and repair issues to the Shipping Manager. Follow all safety guidelines established by the company, including the proper use of safety equipment. Receive shipments of incoming materials and load and unload trucks. Select appropriate packaging materials and containers per customer requirements. Route outgoing shipments through various means of transportation. Complete applicable paperwork such as customs invoices, bills of lading, barcode labels, job pick lists, and manufacturing orders. Pull parts from stores and finished goods while maintaining inventory accuracy and traceability of lot numbers. Maintain shipment history files. Interface with Purchasing, Production Control, Program Management, and Scheduling to ensure timely movement of material through the internal supply chain. Support management as directed. Perform part marking and over-coating using Manufacturing Order instructions, blueprints, and desktop instructions. Adhere to all departmental, company, and regulatory Trade Compliance guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills: Experience in logistics, receiving, inventory management, shipping, and order picking. Proficiency in driving and operating forklifts. Customer service orientation. Ability to handle general labor tasks such as unloading and loading. Familiarity with using rf scanners, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment. Strong data entry skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Motivated and dependable individual with strong attention to detail. Ability to adhere to a flexible and demanding schedule. Good verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and keyboarding. Experience in using hand and power tools like hammers and drills. Passing score on Basic Math Test.
