Research Consultant II

The Utah Department of Health & Human Services is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to fill the Research Consultant II position. This position is highly technical and provides data analytics services. Requires the ability to write complex SQL queries and reports. This team is responsible for creating data summaries and performance measures, designing visualizations, conducting data reviews for quality issues, providing technical assistance to data users and data suppliers, working within the team to respond to ad hoc data requests, producing data sets, and extracting information data sets. This position will provide specialized expertise in research design, analysis, and data needed to examine issues, trends and program evaluations. Additionally, this role may review data requests for feasibility, assist with planning new and actionable projects, provide feedback to data suppliers on data quality issues, assist with decision making on data quality issues and problem solving with data suppliers, and share opportunities for improvement in guidelines and processes. Other duties may include assisting with data collection and reporting to identify and support decision making and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
