As a Full Stack Engineer on the Slideshare team, you’ll contribute to building and maintaining frontend and backend systems powering Slideshare’s global user experience. You’ll work on a modern tech stack to implement user-facing features, backend jobs, and infrastructure improvements for content uploads, secure storage, analytics, and intelligent discoverability. This role spans frontend UI and distributed backend services in collaboration with product, design, AI/ML, and infrastructure teams. What You’ll Do
Design and build new product features across the stack using React/Next.js, GraphQL, TypeScript, and Ruby on Rails. Support and extend backend systems that manage slideshow conversion pipelines and user uploads. Contribute to operational excellence by writing and maintaining job workers, queues, and internal APIs. Implement UI components aligned with the Slideshare rebrand, contributing to a shared design system and theming infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional backend engineers to build integrated, full-stack solutions, with focus on frontend technologies. Work with product, design, AI/ML, and growth teams to launch experiments and new features. Integrate ML models and LLMs into the frontend for personalized, intelligent experiences. Contribute to internal documentation and onboarding tools, including component Storybooks and service readmes. We’re Looking For Someone With
Strong understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks, especially React. 3-5 years of experience across the stack, especially React, Next.js, and Ruby on Rails. Experience with database technologies (SQL, Postgres, MySQL). Understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with performance, accessibility, and SEO principles across the stack. Strong collaboration skills with design, product, and other engineering teams. Thoughtful approach to code quality, maintainability, and documentation. Compensation and Benefits
At Scribd, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range based on location. Salary ranges are provided as follows: California: $119,000 to $185,500 United States (excluding California): $98,000 to $176,500 Canada: CAD 124,500 to CAD 165,000 Roles may be eligible for equity and a comprehensive benefits package.
