Transportation Dispatcher For Paratransit Service
Transdev is actively seeking a transportation dispatcher for their Paratransit service in the Concord locations. We are looking for qualified dispatchers who can provide excellent customer service to both our passengers and our drivers. Position subject to collective bargaining agreement: + $22.83 - $28.19 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Pay Scale) + Starting pay $22.83 with progression to $28.19 over 5 years. Benefits include: + Vacation: up to 14 days per year + Sick days: 5 days + Holidays: 8 days; 6 standard and 2 floating + Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability. Responsibilities
Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route begin on time, performance, incidents, etc. Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations and missed trips. Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators, act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services. Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service. Other duties as required. Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of dispatch operations experience within the transportation industry. Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt to changing situations and listen to feedback. A customer service-oriented mentality with attention to detail. Physical Requirements
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. Majority of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities. Majority of work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer. The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
