Lead Engineer - Cyber Security III
to join a high-performing technology team that safeguards critical systems and drives security innovation. This role is designed for a seasoned cybersecurity professional with hands-on expertise in compliance frameworks, risk management, and technical controls across infrastructure, cloud, and applications. As the lead engineer, you'll work at the intersection of strategy and execution-shaping security standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and guiding complex initiatives that protect enterprise operations. You'll also play a critical role in advancing cybersecurity maturity across the organization.
Lead Engineer - Cyber Security III Responsibilities:
Lead design, implementation, and monitoring of security controls across networks, applications, and operating systems Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NIST 800-171, CMMC, ISO 27001, SOC2, PCI, HIPAA, FAR, and DFARS Draft, refine, and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards Conduct IT audits and testing to validate control effectiveness and adherence Translate complex regulatory and contractual requirements into actionable technical configurations Collaborate cross-functionally to assess risks, resolve security issues, and drive initiatives forward Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members
Lead Engineer - Cyber Security III Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field Six or more years of experience in cybersecurity, including direct involvement with regulatory or framework compliance Strong knowledge of security controls across multiple domains (infrastructure, cloud, or application development) Demonstrated ability to solve complex, cross-functional technical problems Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences Active or eligible to obtain U.S. Government Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Management Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC, Security+, or SSAP Experience leading IT audits, testing cybersecurity controls, and driving remediation initiatives Strong track record in cross-functional collaboration and organizational influence
