Civil Litigation Defense Legal Secretary/Legal Administrative Assistant
to support a thriving Healthcare Litigation practice group at a prestigious
Am Law -ranked firm.

Position Highlights

Fully onsite
in Downtown Nashville (no remote/hybrid) Salary: Competitive
$70K-$100K , based on experience Schedule: 8-4 or 9-5, full-time, direct-hire Practice Areas: Medical Malpractice Defense, Fraud & Abuse, Contract Disputes, Regulatory Enforcement, Antitrust, Product Liability, Employment Disputes, Advanced Healthcare Directives, Professional Liability What You'll Do
Support multiple attorneys in a fast-paced litigation defense group Prepare for trials and arbitrations, including organizing exhibits, trial binders, and coordinating witnesses Draft, proofread, and format legal documents (pleadings, briefs, TOC/TOA) Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions, and handle docketing Coordinate travel and submit expenses via platforms like Chrome River Maintain physical and digital case files, request and review medical records Handle transcription, client communication, and HIPAA-sensitive data with discretion
What You Bring (Minimum Qualifications/Requirements)
4+ years of recent US law firm experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Administrative Assistant supporting multiple civil defense litigation attorneys 2+ years working for Healthcare Litigators (preferred) Strong command of iManage (or similar case management system), MS Office Suite, Adobe, and expense/travel systems like Chrome River Typing speed of 60+ WPM, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent time management A self-starter mindset with integrity, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit
