Job Description

• Receives and picks frozen, dry, and chilled product in “unit of sale” quantities into store-specific labeled trays/crates.
• Must be able to pick accurately and consistently.
• Develop a working knowledge of product, placement, and inventory control processes and procedures.
• Read labels and related documents on product containers.
• Count and calculate quantities to verify shipment accuracy.
• Clean, load, and organize trucks/trailers.
• Work in all temperature-controlled selecting environments (Frozen 0 to -5 °C; Chilled 35-40 °C; Ambient room temperature).
• Physically capable of standing, walking, climbing, and twisting while carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Break down product boxes.
• Operate safely and maintain a clean work environment using cleaning tools and supplies.
• Forklift and pallet jack experience desired.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Flexible schedule with weekend and holiday availability.
• Good attendance and adherence to the work schedule.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Teamwork, self-motivation, problem-solving, and initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to bend, twist, kneel, squat, reach, pull, push, balance, and lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced setting.
• Previous warehouse experience desired; experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift desired.
• This is a Full Time Union position that may require initiation fees and/or union dues.

Qualifications

Certified forklift operator with a minimum of six months of safe operation of material handling equipment. Able to perform accurate visual inspections and repeatedly lift to 50 pounds. Possess reading and basic math skills. HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
