NOW HIRING an experienced Staff Accountant for a great company in Charlotte, NC.

This is a LONG TERM CONTRACT position. 401k, benefits, vacation, etc. are available! Pay is $27.00 + overtime and bonuses.

Join a dynamic team in Charlotte, NC, as a skilled Staff Accountant in a rewarding LONG TERM CONTRACT position.

This is also a HYBRID role.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of proven accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-Day Accounting
• General ledger maintenance and journal entries.
• Support budgeting and analysis efforts.
• Assist in Accounts Payable and Receivable.
• Review tax returns and aid in audits.
• Quarterly Activities
• Prepare quarterly accruals for financial reporting.
• Assist in fund quarterly financial statements.
• Generate quarterly budget-to-actual reports for distribution.
• Aid in the preparation of the quarterly budget matrix report.
• Reconcile material volumes to director-provided reports.
• Monthly Activities
• Record accounts receivable entries and review entries prepared by the accounts receivable clerk.
• Prepare land sale entries for review.
• Conduct bank reconciliations.
• Review assigned accounts payable entries for the check run.
• Annual Activities
• Assist in preparing annual property and fund level budgets.
• Contribute to the preparation for the annual audit of financial statements and tax returns.
• Assist in preparing entries for the transition of pre-merch to merch.
• Ongoing Activities
• Manage annual renewal of property liability and hunting lease insurances.
• Tackle specially assigned projects.
• Maintain annual renewal of property level hunting lease and liability insurance.
• Manage tax files and prepare forms as needed.
• Ensure timely completion and payment of entity level ancillary federal and state tax filings.
• Assist in integrating newly acquired properties into inventory and the chart of accounts.
