Position Title: Business Systems Analyst
Overview:
The Business Systems Analyst plays a key role in bridging business operations and technology solutions. This position focuses on analyzing organizational needs, streamlining processes, and supporting strategic initiatives through effective system implementations. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications and lead process improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with departments such as Production, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales to assess business processes and system requirements.
Conduct process analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
Translate business needs into functional specifications for technical teams.
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with operational goals and integrate with existing systems.
Participate in system architecture discussions including data modeling and interface design.
Lead or support system implementations and enhancements.
Develop and execute test plans, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and validate solution quality.
Troubleshoot system, data, and process issues in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
Assist in preparing cost-benefit analyses for proposed solutions and initiatives.
Create and maintain documentation such as process flows, system specifications, user guides, and training materials.
Provide training and support to end users to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
Act as a liaison between business teams and third-party vendors.
Manage or contribute to project planning activities including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
Maintain regular attendance and adhere to organizational policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics Business Central).
Familiarity with MES, WMS, and other manufacturing-related software is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean methodologies; Green Belt certification is a plus.
Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools.
Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMP, or CSM are advantageous.
