A full-time Sign Language Interpreter position is available for the 2025/2026 school year, located in Bridgeport, CT. This contract role involves providing one-on-one interpretation services for an elementary school student throughout the school year. Key Responsibilities: Provide clear and accurate sign language interpretation for a student in an elementary school setting. Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and staff to promote an inclusive learning experience. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working closely with the student and education team. Support the students access to curriculum and school activities through effective interpretation. Qualifications: Certification as a sign language interpreter is required; holding an RID/NIC credential and/or a strong EIPA score is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience working in a school setting, particularly with elementary-aged students, is strongly desired. Strong command of American Sign Language (ASL) and the ability to interpret educational content accurately. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and support staff.
