Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver adaptive physical education lessons tailored to the abilities and needs of elementary-aged students. Collaborate with general physical education teachers, therapists, and special education staff to ensure cohesive and inclusive programming. Assess students physical abilities and set achievable goals to improve coordination, strength, and motor skills. Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt instruction as needed. Provide a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages participation and fosters independence. Qualifications: Valid Adaptive Physical Education (APE) credential/license in California. Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in an adaptive physical education setting. Strong knowledge of developmental physical education principles and disability accommodations. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work two days per week (0.4 FTE) as part of a contracted position for the 2025/2026 school year.
