We are seeking Behavior Specialists for multiple K-12 schools located in Tijeras, NM, to provide expert support to special education classroom teams serving students in crisis.

The ideal candidates will possess strong knowledge of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with special education teams to implement and monitor behavior support strategies Conduct FBAs and develop BIPs tailored to individual student needs Provide direct support and guidance to classroom teams managing students exhibiting crisis behaviors Serve multiple school sites to ensure consistent behavioral interventions and support across settings Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to optimize student outcomes Qualifications: Licensed or eligible for licensure through the New Mexico Public Education Department (NM PED) At least one of the following credentials: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Special Education Teacher with behavioral expertise, or Social Worker with school experience Familiarity with FBAs and BIPs in a school setting Experience working with K-12 populations, particularly students in crisis or with behavioral challenges Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams Location: Tijeras, New Mexico (serving multiple schools within the area) This role plays a vital part in enhancing the educational experience for students with behavioral needs by providing comprehensive support to those who educate and care for them.
