An opportunity is available for a licensed Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to support elementary-aged students in an educational setting. Key Qualifications: Valid California Adaptive Physical Education (APE) teaching credential Experience working with elementary age groups Strong understanding of individualized physical education assessment and program development Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff Location: Santa Rosa, CA Position Details: Contract role for the 2025/2026 school year Part-time assignment, approximately 0.4 FTE (2 days per week) Focus on delivering adaptive physical education services in an elementary school setting Responsibilities: Assess student physical abilities and develop tailored physical education plans Implement adaptive physical activities that encourage inclusive participation and skill development Monitor student progress and adjust programs as needed to meet individual goals Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated services Maintain accurate records and communicate student outcomes to parents and staff Benefits: Competitive contract position within a supportive educational environment Opportunity to shape physical education programs for diverse learners Engage with a dedicated team committed to student growth and inclusion Qualified candidates who possess the required licensure and experience are encouraged to apply to contribute specialized expertise that supports the physical development and well-being of elementary students.
