Onsite, 1:1 Sign Language Interpreter for a fully deaf kindergarten student (wears cochlear implants; some early preschool sign exposure) Support:
Another interpreter onsite with a 2nd-grade student will provide occasional assistance/questions. Schedule:

Provide full-time, onsite sign language interpreting for a deaf kindergarten student with cochlear implants.
Use sign language to facilitate communication, language development, and access to classroom instruction.
Coordinate with a second interpreter working in the same building (with the 2nd-grade student) for support, consistency, and questions as needed.
Align interpreting with IEP goals and work with school staff to support language access and inclusion.
Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and special education staff regarding student needs.
Requirements
Pennsylvania EIPA certification with a minimum score of
3.5
(required).
Experience interpreting for young children (kindergarten level), preferably with cochlear implants and early sign exposure.
Background working in elementary or special education settings; collaborative mindset.
Professional, responsible, and reliable approach to confidentiality and student support.
