How You Will Contribute This is your opportunity to join A&M PEPI’s MI&C team and develop an impressive range of operational skills. You will be involved throughout the lifecycle of large, complex deals in the US, gaining early client exposure and learning from experienced practitioners. The MI&C service line provides a structured approach for mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, joint ventures, and alliances, covering pre-deal reviews, Day 1 Readiness, post-close execution, and related planning and risk assessment.
Key areas include due diligence (commercial and operational), Integration Management Office (IMO), synergy tracking, TSAs, Day 1 and Day 100 planning, and post-close execution. The team works across the full deal lifecycle and focuses on delivering value through structured methods and leadership development.
MI&C is a growing practice with opportunities for career advancement and leadership development, including international assignments.
Responsibilities (Director)
Provide service excellence by identifying client business issues, determining client needs, evaluating analyses, and developing recommendations within the engagement context.
Lead the IMO or a focus area within the IMO (e.g., Synergies, TSAs, Blueprinting, Day 1 Readiness, Executive Reporting, Integration Roadmap, Communications, Organizational Design) depending on deal size.
Lead and deliver large, complex client engagements to design and implement creative business and technology solutions for PE clients and portfolio companies.
Provide interim functional management as required.
Lead Day 1 and Day 100 Planning, execution, and driving performance improvement in key areas (Strategic planning, Operational optimization, Back office consolidation, Supply chain, IT/Reporting integration, Customer and channel management).
Drive performance improvement assessments across an enterprise and oversee implementation of recommendations.
Track progress against Day 1 and Day 100 objectives and adjust strategies or resources as needed.
Ensure quality of deliverables and manage teams and client relationships to achieve exceptional performance.
Contribute to business development through proposal development and client opportunities.
Provide coaching and leadership for delivery teams and staff in local offices; participate in staff recruitment and retention activities.
Qualifications
10+ years in professional consulting with experience in merger integration, divestitures, business transformation, and change management.
Experience in integration planning and divestitures is a plus but not required.
Experience leading one or more work streams in a business transformation program.
Deep functional expertise in areas such as: Finance & Accounting operations; HR/Organizational design; Role and Job Analysis; Leadership and Stakeholder Involvement; Communications planning; Supply Chain/Operations; Salesforce effectiveness; Marketing optimization; Pricing/Margin/Mix optimization; Knowledge Management and Transfer; Program management and leadership; Change/communications strategy execution. MBA preferred; excellent oral and written communication; initiative and drive; critical thinking skills; willingness to travel at least 75% of the time.
