Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, utilizing appropriate communication methods and educational strategies. Provide occupational therapy assistance under the supervision of licensed therapists, focusing on improving students functional abilities in the school environment. Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary to meet individual needs. Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with relevant school and state regulations. Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom and therapy environment. Qualifications and Experience: Certification and licensure as a Teacher for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students. Certification as a COTA with experience in school-based occupational therapy services. Strong communication skills, including proficiency in sign language preferred. Experience working with K-12 students in educational or therapeutic settings. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
