Role: Microsoft Power Platform Solutions Architect Important: Must be a US Citizen able to obtain government clearance Project Location: Remote/Washington, D.C. area preferred The Power Platform Solutions Architect provides strategic design, integration, and delivery of large-scale low-code/no-code solutions within federal agencies. This role is critical in reaching mission-critical goals through building secure, scalable, and compliant Power Platform solutions including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and AI Builder that align with federal IT modernization and digital transformation efforts. The architect ensures that all solutions integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems, adhere to governance and security frameworks, and deliver measurable value to stakeholders. The position requires deep experience with Microsoft technologies, solution architecture, governance strategy, and technical delivery within Agile/DevSecOps environments. Candidates should bring extensive knowledge of federal IT compliance frameworks (FISMA, FedRAMP, Section 508, NIST 800-53), data governance, and enterprise integration patterns. Preferred qualifications include Microsoft PL-600 or equivalent architect-level certifications and prior experience guiding federal agencies through complex modernization efforts. Key Responsibilities Lead the architecture and roadmap development for enterprise-scale adoption of Microsoft Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, AI Builder). Design secure, scalable, and reusable solution frameworks aligned with federal IT compliance and modernization initiatives. Establish and enforce governance policies, role-based access controls, and data loss prevention (DLP) strategies. Integrate Power Platform solutions with enterprise systems such as Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Azure services, and federal ERP/CRM platforms. Provide hands-on technical leadership to development teams, promoting best practices, DevSecOps pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Collaborate with federal stakeholders, executives, and program managers to define business requirements, align solutions to mission objectives, and enable user adoption. Define data architecture and governance strategies to support secure use of Dataverse and seamless integration with external systems. Ensure all solutions meet federal compliance standards, including Section 508 accessibility, cybersecurity, records management, and regulatory requirements. Conduct design reviews, oversee quality assurance, and integrate lessons-learned across projects. Provide technical mentorship and contribute to workforce upskilling in Power Platform proficiency, adoption, and execution.
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship (required due to federal security clearance requirements). 710+ years of professional IT experience, with at least 4+ years architecting Power Platform or enterprise low-code solutions. Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying Power Apps (Canvas, Model-Driven, Portals), Power Automate (cloud flows, RPA), Power BI, and Dataverse at enterprise scale. Strong knowledge of Azure integration services (Logic Apps, API Management, Functions, Azure AD) and secure API/microservices design. Proven experience establishing Power Platform governance, security, and compliance frameworks within federal agencies. Familiarity with FISMA, FedRAMP, Section 508, and NIST SP 800-53 compliance requirements. Experience leading Agile/DevSecOps teams and implementing CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform solutions. Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and executive presentation skills.

Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600) or equivalent certification. Experience leading enterprise adoption of low-code/no-code platforms within federal digital transformation programs. Familiarity with integrating Power Platform with Dynamics 365 CE/Finance & Operations. Knowledge of AI/ML capabilities within Power Platform and Azure Cognitive Services. Active Public Trust, Secret, or higher clearance. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
