General Production Worker
As a General Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in setting up and operating machinery to ensure the precise cutting of paper or paperboard sheets to specified dimensions. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the efficiency and quality of our production line.
Responsibilities:
- Read job orders to determine machine settings.
- Set the computer or manually adjust the trimmer for proper cuts.
- Utilize the Quick Scan machine to measure paper dimensions accurately.
- Position and align sheets against guides, clamping them securely to the machine bed before cutting.
- Operate button controls to activate the shear blade for cutting sheets.
- Adjust guides and reposition materials to trim or square edges as per specifications.
- Change the shear blade when necessary.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of all paper grades used in production.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
- Oil and grease the machine according to the lubrication schedule.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in machine operation and setup.
- Experience in inspection and quality assurance.
- Ability to tend power shears and oversee trimmer operations and production line functions.
- General labor and assembly skills.
- Competence in using hand tools and operating machines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Forklift driving experience is preferred, though not required.
- Experience in the paper or plastic industry, particularly as an assistant or rewinder, is beneficial.

Job Type & Location:
This is a contract to hire position based out of Neenah, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $22.55 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
