This full-time position is for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) specializing in both school and healthcare settings. Located in Tyler, TX, this role supports middle school caseloads throughout the 2025/2026 school year on a contract basis.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with experience in educational and healthcare environments
Ability to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Down Syndrome
Proficient in implementing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies
Experience assisting with development and execution of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Comfortable working with middle school-aged children
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services according to IEP goals
Implement AAC interventions tailored to students needs
Support students with ASD and Down Syndrome to enhance communication skills
Maintain documentation and progress reports in compliance with educational standards
Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support
