An opportunity is available for a skilled Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) or Orthopedic Impairment (OI) Specialist to support two elementary students in a part-time contract role. This position is suited for professionals who have certification in OI or OMS and possess experience working with young learners from PreK through 5th grade.

Location: Elementary school setting in Elk Grove, CA Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized support and interventions tailored to students with orthopedic impairments or orientation and mobility needs Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families Deliver direct services for approximately 2 hours per week to a caseload of two students Utilize expertise to enhance students mobility, access to learning, and independence within the school environment Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and communicate regularly with the educational team Qualifications: Certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) or Orthopedic Impairment (OI) Specialist Experience working with children from PreK to 5th grade preferred Strong knowledge of specialized strategies to support students with orthopedic impairments or mobility challenges Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and other professionals Excellent communication and organizational skills This contract position offers a flexible schedule, ideal for professionals seeking limited hours while making a meaningful impact on students educational journeys.
