Responsibilities: Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies that support student success and well-being Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to students' unique needs Connect students and families with community resources and support services Participate in school meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and student support planning Promote awareness of social and emotional issues affecting students through workshops and training sessions Qualifications: Degree in social work with a valid licensure or certification recognized for school social work practice Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred Strong knowledge of child development, mental health issues, and community resources Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in social work practice Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a dynamic caseload Location: Aurora, IL Duration: Contract for the next school year This position offers a rewarding chance to make a meaningful impact on student lives by addressing their social and emotional needs within the school environment.
