Provide first aid, emergency care, and routine health services to students and staff
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
Develop and manage Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and Emergency Care Plans (ECPs) for students with chronic or complex health needs
Conduct mandated health screenings (vision, hearing, etc.) and document results
Maintain student health records and ensure compliance with South Carolina health requirements
Monitor and support communicable disease prevention and reporting protocols
Educate students and staff on health topics, hygiene, and wellness practices
Serve as a liaison between school, home, and medical providers
Participate in student support teams and contribute to school safety and wellness policies
Qualifications:
Current South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
South Carolina School Nurse Services Credential (or eligibility to obtain)
Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Public Health Nurse (PHN) certificate preferred
CPR/First Aid certification required
Experience in pediatric, public health, or school nursing preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
