A K-12 public school in Cicero, IL is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs throughout the current school year. Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop intervention plans Provide individual and group counseling to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive learning environments Connect students and families with community resources and services Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on student support strategies Document interventions and maintain confidential records in compliance with policies Desired Qualifications: Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program Valid state licensure or certification for school social work Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students, parents, and staff Knowledge of child development, mental health issues, and family dynamics Ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism Location: Cicero, Illinois (K-12 School District) This contract role offers a rewarding environment to make a meaningful difference in students lives by addressing social and emotional challenges that impact academic success.
