Provide specialized speech-language therapy services in an elementary school setting, focusing on students in grades 4 and 5. The role requires delivering direct speech therapy services and managing a caseload to support students communication goals effectively. Location: Portland, ME

Setting: Elementary School Duration: School Year (NSY) Contract Hours: 13 hours of direct service per week, scheduled Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM Caseload: Manage approximately 6 cases while providing direct services to 14 students, plus consult on one student monthly (30 minutes) Key Responsibilities: Administer speech-language assessments and deliver individualized therapy aligned with each students needs Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans to support communication development and academic success Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student progress Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and professional standards Consult as needed with students and staff to provide strategies supporting student communication in the classroom Qualifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in grades 4 and 5 Ability to manage multiple cases effectively and prioritize therapy schedules within allotted hours Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators and families This contract position offers a focused opportunity to make a measurable impact on student communication outcomes within one school location.
